This being the place Ivera calls home, it took on a name of its own. Curteousy of her beloved little twin bro, James. When those two were younger, around the age of seven, it had always been the twins dream to start a band of their own. They'd call themselves The Kritz. It was just a name James made up one day, and it totally stuck. It was the Twins little thing. Something nothing could ever rip them from. Until that fateful day...his murder, their mother's murder...
It was just a few years shy of a ten year anniversary of their deaths. Then again, it wasn't something to celebrate--shoudn't really be called that. An anniversary that is. Nothing to be happy or proud of. It drove their father insane, and Ivy had to grow up the remained of her youth alone. Completly broken in half. When James died in her thirteen year old hands, half of her went with him. Her heart--her soul...
Now here she was. In Miami. Majoring in Script Writing. Doing the one thing her little bro had always dreamed of. Everything that Ivy did in her life was focused around her little brothers dreams. She'd never want to be without him, and of course she was holding on a bit too tight...but over the years James' dream had become her own. And one day she hoped to finish and publish the script James started writing all those years ago...She would. She'd do it.
Coming on home, in simply sweats and a simply great tanktop, she slid her army green shoulder bag to the floor beside her table [and yes of course, it belonged to her little brother, what else is knew]. Putting a tray of frozen mac 'n cheese in the microwave, Ivy pulled out a few scripts she was supposed to edit. Nothing much remained in her life, except her career. One day she'd become a director...or at least get one interested in James' script. That was her life long dream...she'd do it. That's all she lived for now. Literally.
The only time she'd even dared to have a regular normal life, she got abused. Beaten and screwed! In more then one legitament phrase of course. Different meanings to those words, all true. Her ex-boyfriend treated her like his little punching bag, a pitiful slave. And she stayed with him far far too long. But she just hadn't had the courage to pull away, and after something tragic...here she was.
There was an iron wall guarding her heart, and nothing was penatrating it. Nothing and no one. She was going to be alone. She didn't care, because she really didn't feel. Just passion for her future, her job. That's it. That's all.
What else was Ivy to do? What else could she honestly do? That'd she be willing to do...
