The night was just beginning as Caleb walked out of his bedroom and into his bathroom. He gelled his hair and he styled it accordingly to his taste tonight. The Sun was going down slowly and then the party shall begin. He had spoken to the Dean of Students and he allowed the Annual Miami University Homecoming Party to be held off campus for the first time. The Dean trusted Caleb, Considering he knew Caleb's father and knew what he could do if he didn't agree.
The party was being held at Vince's Nightclub. The only reason it was being held there is because it was the only place Caleb could find that Was big enough. And granted Vince was his cousin. And Caleb sure as hell took care of him before so it was a way to repay him. He smiled as he looked at the clock 6:30PM. It was time to show up and start his party.
Caleb walked down the steps of his apartment as he clicked a button his garage door opened. He thought for a moment and he decided to take the black Harley Davidson he had, It was brand new, Christmas present from father. He smiled as he backed it out and took off with a roar to the Nightclub.
His motorcycle heard off in the distance, Caleb turned carefully and pulled into the Parking Lot, He turned off his bike and fixed his black suit, He smiled as he walked up to his cousin who was waiting at the Entrance for him, He looked at the decorations and he asked "This Hawaiian Theme was Ashli's idea wasn't it"? He smiled as he hugged his cousin. He walked in behind him and he asked "So, Vince you clear this with Uncle Frank, He doesn't Care that you are doing this in the club he bought for you"? He smiled as Vince said "Hell No Cal, Pops knows, He was handed the check by the Dean". Caleb smiled as he patted Vince on the shoulder and walked outside to greet the guests.

Ivera wasn't the kind of girl that would typically go to a party. Infact, most of the time she either was in her apartment, out at the library, or studying a certain script. Not for the likes of acting, more around the areas of editting. She was fairly talented, and even her professor came to her for certain answers. It was remarkable, but Ivy loved every minute of it. Mostly because it showed she was good at something, and this something she'd hold on to without question.
It was a miracle to find her outside her apartment thought on a night like this. Especially with it being NIGHT. She never went out of the town. Ivy was either studying, eating, or sleeping. But tonight was somehow different, and she couldn't really understand why. Yet she was here. Just outside the club. The usual tight jeans, and a blue t-shirt that lightly hugged her curves. Holding her hair back in a blue ribbon, her glossy brown hair was swishing lightly against her neck as she walked.
With a glance over her shoulder, she made sure her baby was still in one piece. Her black 1967 Chevy Impala. Oh how much she loved that thing. She'd worked up a hell of a lot of cash, and now it was hers. She was going to take very good care of it. Get repairs on the smallest things. It was a good thing she knew how to handle an engine--Kraig taught her. Her ex...the one good thing that abuser actually did right in their relationship.
Biting her lip, Ivy finally came down to a close chair, and took a seat. She wasn't sure what she was going to do here. Or why. Just that a really good friend of hers, best friend, told her she just had to come. And being one of loyalty, she decided one night for an hour or so couldn't do much harm.
"He better be here..." She muttered, taking a look around the place. Hoping to spot him...then again, hoping not. Then she'd be able to leave.

Perez walked through the doors of the club. he had been there most of the day. So he went back to directing the group of guys setting up the Wave pool next to the palm trees. It was hard work setting something like this up. He was just happy to know that he had a brother like Ashli to help. He wasn't going to kid himself Ashli had always been the outspoken twin the life of the party if you will, But that came in handy on a lot o occasions. he shook his head "No thats nice quite right move it more to the left, yes thats it." He said holding his hands up in the air as to signify that it was in the right spot.
Perez had been here all day he didn't have class today so he came here after he finished his morning jog. When he had agreed to help out with this Luau he hadn't planned don doing it all by himself. He had gotten some of the Sig Ep's to help out but they were doing what they do best watching and flirting with girls walking by when they were supposed to moving equipment into the room.
The water started to flow into the tank make amazing miniature swells."Very nice job everyone." He said to the group of guy sitting on the stage relaxing.Perez looked around the room there weren't many people her yet. He picked up his coke and took a sip before sitting it back down on the stage. Out of the corner of his eye he saw his best girlfriend Ivera.
he crept up behind her and put his hands over her eyes. Perez had known Ivy for a while now and they had became great friends. The thing that nobody knew except Ashli was that he not only cared a great deal for Ivy but he had had a crush on her since the moment he had met her. But of course like all the good ones she was taken. but that was OK with him he would wait.

Jumping, a small quiet yelp escaped her lips, while her hands went up to cover the ones over her eyes. There was only one person who could ever dare to sneak up on her like that, but per usual she had to yank them off and turn herself around--just to make sure.
A smile slightly upturned her rose pale lips as she teased, "I was so hoping you wouldn't make it, Perry." Her little name for him. Perry. Just something her friend would have to get use to. It was small, but declared to him and the world that he was indeed someone special. Somebody she actually trusted. With more then her fragile heart.
She loved this man like a brother, a really close and extremly needed brother. At least--that's what she thought...maybe otherwhise it could be something more, but in some terms she didn't know it. She wasn't quite aware, mostly because she was forcing herself not to feel for somebody that deeply.
Standing up from her chair, she immediately wrapped her arms around him, and pulled him close. If anybody knew Ivy, it was that she stayed far away from those she didn't know, and kept extremely close to the ones she did. Like Perry for instance--he was the only one that got a hug from her when saying hello, or goodbye. Not even her elder siblings recieved such a blessing.
Pulling back after a moment, she looked into his eyes, and shook her head, "I still don't get why you want me here, I could be at home editting Barney's script." Yet again more work. Poor Barney being a boy in her class that was getting behind, and needed somebody to show him the ropes of editting. Ivy agreed to help him out. And right now she could be finishing that up...but no, instead, she agreed to come support a friend. Her Perry.
She hoped she wouldn't have to do much of anything. Mostly because she didn't quite know how.

As the night grew darker he smiled as there were around Eighty people in the Club so far, He expected more, He also expected Erin to arrive by now, He sighed as he walked into the club where it was warm and loud. He smiled as he shook hands with a few of his friends and met their girlfriends or Fiancees. He walked up tot he bar as he ordered a drink.
While getting his drink which was served in an odd looking coconut cup. He eyed it and he knew that either Perez or Ashli had picked this thing out. It was cute, It was, It was pretty cool actually. He smiled as he was handed a pink lei, He had the lovely waitress put it around his neck as his hands were full with another drink for Perez whom had worked hard.
Caleb searched the place for him, When he finally spotted him talking to a girl that he hadn't met yet. He nodded to a few people as he walked over to them and he said "Damn, I guess it is good having a brother on the inside with the mags and stuff hunh". He smiled as he would extend the drink that he was holding out to him.
He turned to the girl as he smiled "Hello there, I am Marshall, Caleb Marshall. I rarely ever wear a suit, but i think I'm going to have to start because I have been told i look good, What do you think". He smiled as he attempted to be funny and nice to the girl whom he hadn't met but she had a radiant beauty.

Perez smiled as she embraced him. Now Perez wasn't really the touchy Feely kind of guy. The occasional hug now again wasn't bad but he never did like hugging. But when Ivy rapped her arms around him he wouldn't rather be anywhere else than there. It was bad to think that his brother was the ladies man of the family. He was the oldest of th too but yet it seemed like the ladies always swooned fro Ashli. How can you blame them though he crazy, Wild, and probably the best dancer he knew.
Some people have even gone as far as to say that he wasn't to bad on the ears when it came to pipes. Even though he Perez was known as the musician of the family. The Fed EX child or red headed step child. he wasn't all about dancing. he had tried it for a couple months but it just wasn't for him. Script,Zine, and Music writing was what he loved most.
It was a pretty nasty shock to the family when he hung up his tights and picked up a pen and notebook instead but they eventually came around. Perez grimaced,"Why do you always do his work for him?" He said looking into Ivy's eyes. "He's a bright guy how is he supposed to pass the final when he doesn't even know how to edit his own script?" Perez and always liked this quality in Ivy the way she cared for others so much added so much to her personality.
"I mean don't get me wrong I have the utmost respect for the guy but he needs to learn before Mr.lavenau finds out." "Are you going to stick around for any of the contests tonight?" A couple minutes later Caleb came over to where the two of them were at."Hey dude whats up this is going to be a good night." He said extending his hand toward him. "This is Ivy." "Ivy this is Caleb."

Rolling her eyes at her friend, "He knows how to write, Perry, just the commas and desperately needed pauses throw him off." Perez was just one of those guys who was always trying to get Ivy out of her shell. To stop actually working and have some fun every once in awhile. Ivy didn't really need fun. She had her job, and her studies. That's all she would focus on.
Then again, she needed to keep Perry up 'n happy as well. Her life this year was a bit more complicated then she had gotten used to. Sure the year after her mother and her brother's murder was tragic and horrific, but after her break up with Kraig? Right now she was still too tense and confused to do much of anything, "And about those contests of yours? Probably not, you're lucky enough I actually showed up."
Damn, I guess it is good having a brother on the inside with the mags and stuff huh?
Ivera's attention glided on over to the company. And she felt something strike her. In the chest. But with her huge iron barrier, she shrugged it off as a bruise, or heart ache. Literal heart ache, not the emotional kind.
Watching him hand Perry a mug to drink, she found herself still actually smiling. When it came to new people, she wasn't exactly shy, but if it was somebody she wanted to like? It was a different story. What would be a bit different was how Perry was the only one who could understand her like that, and right now she was hoping her best friend wouldn't.
When he smiled she felt herself stunned. Was that real? She could swear a warmth caught inside her chest. He was definitely handsome, she'd give him that. And his voice was spectacular. But then again, she seemed to look around study peoples stance. Their dress, voice, posture...despite her negativity on her own life, she could always find something positive in others.
Hello there, I am Marshall, Caleb Marshall. I rarely ever wear a suit, but i think I'm going to have to start because I have been told i look good, What do you think?
Honestly?
"I believe you're going to have to find another opinion. I'm more for the stage then the fashion...Infact, all I know how to wear are jeans 'n t-shirts." She could deem fashionable clothes worthy or not so fitting on a person. Ivera was one who could sense someone's background or personality from what they looked like and how they presented themselves. So her words were almost incorrect, but she felt slightly uncomfortable with how friendly this sweet guy was.
She was almost becoming defensive...while strangely keeping her almost natural smile.

"Oh crap, I'm late."
These were the the first four words uttered by Erin as she gazed at her alarm clock from her bed. As if shocked by electrocution, she bolted from her comforable mess of blankets and locked herself in her bathroom. After half and hour getting ready, and approximately 10 minutes hitching a ride with a friend, she finally found herself at Vince's.
Erin hadn't bothered glossing herself up, since she was going to end up sweaty from partying anyways. A pair of fitting jeans, a red graphic tee, and original Converse™ were what made her attire tonight. No bag, for fear of leaving it behind out of forgetfulness.
The club was crowded, and she had a hard time finding people she knew. Vince spotted her, and after an exchange of 'long time no see's between them, he pointed her over to Perez's location.
Thanking Vince, she walked over, and noticed that he held conversation with Caled and a friend.
"[...] you're going to have to find another opinion. I'm more for the stage then the fashion...Infact, all I know how to wear are jeans 'n t-shirts."
"Hey guys," she greeted with a small wave. Erin already felt that she would enjoy the girl's presence. "I'm Erin, nice to meetcha," she said with a grin. "Are we talking fashion here? Because if yes, then I'll just excuse myself to the bar," she said.

Ivera wasn't one for the crowds. It wasn't like she couldn't handle them, cause she could, she just didn't like 'em. She was more for staying at home by yourself working on a paper for school, or a script for the professor then partying like this, and crowds were the reason why. A lot of the time she'd find herself with nothing to say, and things would get awkward. Very very awkward. And sometimes, like now for instance, words came out of her mouth that sounded rediculous. Because Caleb? Looked absolutely handsome in that suite of his. Ivy knew it. She could see the kind of person he was despite the fact that he was wearing such fine apparel. But she'd told a bit of a lie, mostly because she was starting to feel uncomfortable.
Then Erin joined the picture. Ivy knew who she was. She'd seen her around before, knew her name. Ivera knew a lot of people here at Miami U, she just didn't talk with them or hang out with them...as consequence 95% of the student body believed her to be a new student the second she starts actually communicating or talking in class. Which is sad in its own right.
Giving a small smile, "Caleb here was just talking about how he looks good in that suite of his. He was asking my opinion..." Aware of her actions, she pulled closer to Perry--her best friend--just because she was more comfortable around him. More aware and knowing of him. Putting her eyes on Caleb for a moment, "Now don't get me wrong, you look quite dashing, I'm just not sure if you really want to hear what I've got to say."
Putting her attention back upon Erin, "And my name's Ivy by the way...Ivera really, but I usually just go by Ivy..." Only giving out her name because it was polite, and Perry was standing right beside her...which meant she had to inforce her people skills. Something she wasn't too fond of.
