The Mustang pulled into the Apartment complex parking lot. Caleb looked over at the beautiful girl whom was with him. He smiled, They were quiet the whole way here, Except of course when a good song came on the radio and they sang it together. Caleb turned off the engine to the Mustang and he grabbed his jacket as he opened his door. He walked over to the passenger side and opened Erin's door for her.
He walked to the steps of his apartment building, he was lucky that his father had money. His father bought this penthouse for him when he moved to Miami. He was Italian, His father wasn't going to let him live like he wasn't. Caleb walked into the building and pressed the top floor button on the elevator, He hated this thing, One time he and his old roommate got stuck on it.
The elevator dinged as it reached his floor. Caleb pulled his key out of his pocket. He unlocked the door and the rooms were revealed. The large living room, The narrow hall way that led to his room and the first bathroom. And the other hallway where the other room and the other bathroom was.
He walked into his house and threw the keys down on the coffee table. he turned on the stove and began making his famous spaghetti. He looked at Erin and he said "Have a seat on the couch, You've been here enough to know you can do what you want". He smiled as he poured two glasses of Red Wine. He walked back over to the couch and sat down. he looked at her and he said "I told you I have something to tell you".
Caleb smiled as he took a breath, He was nervous, he was going to finally tell Erin what he had been feeling for years, he smiled and he stutter a bit "Erin i have known you for a long long time, and I'm going to be completely honest with you right now, I am totally and completely in love with you". He paused and he finished "I always have been".

For some reason, the car ride was unusually silence. Not awkward, since Erin and Caleb could manage to sing those songs that they always sang while together, but slightly unnerving nonetheless. Her mind kept trailing back towards the kiss, making her blush lightly and making herself feel like a freak.
Okay, maybe not like a freak, but something along those lines. Arriving at the place, Erin sat there, dazed. She was acting very out-of-character in her opinion, but she was just feeling odd. She snapped back to reality when Caleb opened the door for her, at which she exited, only after bumping her head lightly against the car roof. She made no noise, knowing Caleb would probably make a fuss about it.
She followed him into the building, and then into the elevator. No matter how many times Erin visited him, she would always be amazed at the grandeur of his apartment; Caleb lived the life of a prince.
"Have a seat on the couch, You've been here enough to know you can do what you want."
She had already made herself at home before he had spoken. Erin lay down on the couch, stuffing her face in one of the cushions before slipping her sneakers off and sitting properly. While she did this, Caleb went to get wine.
She took her cup and looked at Caleb, heart racing. She was clueless at the situation, not knowing how to react.
She had been crushing on Caleb for quite a long time now. And now that he was going to confess (Erin had a feeling it was that. If not, she would run home and just stuff herself with cookies,) she didn't know what she had to say.
Before realizing, Caleb had said his part, and it was Erin's turn. But without words, she simply set down her wine cup on the table and hugged Caleb tightly.
"You have no idea," she said, "But, I love you too," she grinned.

Caleb was wrapped in the arms of Erin and her hug, All he could do was lean back on the couch where he was laying on his back with her laying on his chest. He smiled as she said she loved him as well. He smiled and kissed her forehead which he always had.
Caleb ran his fingers through her hair, He smiled as he did so, His right arm still around his love. He thought for a moment and he laughed, he put his hands together and clapped two times, And slow romantic music began to play. He smiled as he had just installed this feature into his home "Yeah, It's new", he sighed and he finished "I hate this romantic music crap". He clapped again and slow rock ballads began to play."Thats Better".
As he lay there he wondered how long Erin had liked him, hell he wondered why Erin liked him, he was an asshole all the time. He took a breath and he asked Erin whom was still lying with her head on his shoulder "So, How long and why have you liked me".

Erin felt comfortable, just laying there on Caleb. Then, suddenly, she heard two loud claps, and slow music began playing. She made a look that said, 'what in the world?', but Caleb answered her. He clapped again and good music began playing, and Erin nodded in satisfaction. "Good choice," she grinned, laying her head back on his chest.
"So, How long and why have you liked me."
She thought out her answer before replying, and said, "Gee, I think it was in Junior High," she laughed. "It was then that you started being sexy. And I guess it was because you were always there for me...especially after mom died, well, I dunno," she said. "I don't think I have an explainable reason. And you? How am I attractive?" She said with a grin, looking at Caleb's face now.

Caleb smiled as he looked at his love. He kissed the top of her head and he said "Yeah, You went downhill when you mother died, I knew that you would have needed someone, And i knew ballerina boy wouldn't help you". He smiled as he carefully took another sip of his wine, he smiled as he looked into he eyes.
She was intoxicating, he couldn't think of anything other then her when she was around. He smiled and held her hand within his. He broke eye contact to blink as he said "I was just protecting you, Then I realized that your a sweet, Kind hearted and some time brutally honest person."

Erin frowned. She didn't like it when Caleb called Ashli a ballerina boy; he was her best friend, after all. However, she remained silent. Erin didn't want to ruin the mood, and so bit back her tongue with plans to tell Caleb to stop calling Ashli names sometime later.
"I was just protecting you, Then I realized that your a sweet, Kind hearted and some time brutally honest person."
At this, her frowned melted into a smile. "Awww. Gee. I don't know whether to just say thanks or blush and hide like some over fanatic girl about to meet Michael Jackson," she grinned.
The joke? Erin was a huge fan of MJ, despite the rumors going on.
